Hello, all, 

 

This has been a wonderful tournament for the last three years! Oakwood
are great hosts, and there is a good mix of experience in the teams that
come to play. 

 

Spring is almost here!

Good Morning,

 

  Day light savings time is a week away, and we have one more layer of
snow to get through before ultimate season official kicks off!  I am
organizing the Oakwood Friends School ultimate tourney again this year.
I wanted to touch base and see if you are interested.  We have three or
four spots left, and I would love to fill them with some really fun,
spirited teams we have played in past years.    The layout of the
tourney will be similar to years past.  

1.)     No tourney Fee

2.)     2 Brackets of 4 teams each

3.)     Everyone guaranteed 3 games minimum

4.)     Mixed Optional*

 

*We are going to try to encourage teams that can field a mixed squad to
play 5-2 or 6-1 (boys/girls). Having not done this before, I am not sure
if teams will have the numbers to make it happen, but we will see.   If
you cannot, or choose not to field a mixed squad you will not have to
play man-down or anything like that.  

We look forward to seeing you Saturday April 12th.  If you are
interested in playing, please e-mail me back this week.  We head out on
Spring Break Friday, and I would like to have the field set.  Thanks

p.s.  On a completely different note, if you have some runners on your
teams who love waking up early Oakwood is also hosting a local Katrina
Relief 5K and 1 miler Saturday morning before the Tourney.  (I think I
might have my team do the one miler slowly as a fun warm-up)
