Hooray! Great news for the NEPSUL. Participation in the League Championship
qualifies teams to submit a bid to the UPA High School Eastern
Championships.
A big thanks to Kyle Weisbrod for this and for everything else that he has
done for youth ultimate!

I just wanted to let you know that NEPSUL has been approved for the league
exception.
Below are the rules regarding the league exception.
-Kyle
Rules Regarding Accepted Leagues
Once a League Exception has been granted that league's end-of-season UPA
sanctioned championship will serve to qualify teams to apply for the UPA
HS Eastern and Western Championships if the home state of the school
applying has a UPA sanctioned or sponsored HS State Championships.
Teams that attend the UPA Sanctioned league championship will be
considered equally with the teams that attend their state's UPA
sanctioned or sponsored HS State Championship. Teams that are able may
attend both the League Championship as well as the UPA sanctioned or
sponsored HS State Championship. The League Championship Tournament
must be UPA sanctioned and there must be a UPA sanctioned or sponsored
state championship in the applying team's state in order for
participating teams to qualify for the UPA HS Eastern and Western
Championships.
Once the League Exception has been granted to a league, the exception is
open-ended. The League Exception can come up for review at the
discretion of the UPA. The UPA will give the league two years notice if
the Exception is judged to expire. During that time, the league can
reapply for the League Exception. If a situation changes in the league
that affects any of the criteria of the League Exception rule, the
league must inform the UPA of the change (e.g. the school schedules
change to allow the teams to compete at the state championships).
